Moro / Tuscan Red
The wine
Il Moro di San Giovanni is the result of the combination of a unique clayey-limestone terroir, grapes typical of the French wine tradition and an international oenological interpretation that translates the school of Bordeaux into Italian mastery.
Moro is aimed at connoisseurs looking for the excellence of a structured wine that expresses its aromatic richness and softens its powerful tannins through aging.
Very intense color, dark red, deep with garnet reflections. Clean, elegant, intense and complex nose, with a hint of tertiary aromas but still rich in fruity aromas, notes of wild cherry, licorice and ripe berries.
On the palate it’s soft, enveloping, warm, very broad and balanced with a long and persistent final, characterized by well present but very soft tannins.
A wine ready to drink but with a considerable aging capacity.
Intense color, with garnet reflections, an evolved wine. Clean nose, with notes of jam that blend with tertiary aromas. On the palate it shows a soft connection and a good volume: very balanced wine with an amazing persistence.
Intense color, clean but closed nose, good connection and volume with a good acidity. Green and bitter final.
It shows up an intense, impenetrable garnet red color. The nose is clean, powerful and complex with a notes of very ripe red fruit and licorice that blend with more ethereal tertiary aromas and a slight spiciness. In the mouth it has a very soft and balanced connection that leads us to an important and well present tannic component, but, at the same time, very smooth which gives this wine a remarkable persistence.
Important color, very deep and impenetrable. Intense clean nose where a delicate spiciness blends with floral notes and very ripe red fruit.
In the mouth it has a very soft connection followed by a good balance in the center of the mouth and a strong structure that evolves towards a final characterized by a nice tannic presence.
Intense color, deep ruby red. Clean, elegant bouquet with notes of red fruit, licorice and cherries in alcohol. The wood is perfectly integrated with the other aromatic components.
It’s soft at the start and continues with a nice volume that fills the mouth well. Very balanced wine with a very light acid vein, which gives it a nice freshness, lightening its structure, an important persistence and a final with an important tannic structure but, at the same time, delicate, warm and soft.
Deep ruby red color.
Slightly closed at the beginning, the nose is very intense and opens with notes of wood, spice and ripe red fruit, currant.
In the mouth it has a very soft almost sweet connection, a very large volume and a nice acidity. Very persistent, it presents a final characterized by well-present but soft and silky tannins.
Wine for aging but ready to drink.
Intense dark red color with purple hues, impenetrable.
Very clean and intense nose, it still has a slight woody note that integrates well with the fruity aromas dominated mainly by raspberry, then red fruit and blackberry integrated and made more elegant by a subtle floral notes.
In the mouth it shows a soft connection, an important volume and the right acidity.
Very long and persistent wine with an important body and a notable tannic charge that still needs a slight refinement in the bottle, but also with an already extremely pleasant drink.
Very dark ruby red color, with a truly remarkable coloring intensity
Powerful, clean, very complex nose with the wood perfectly integrated with a wide gamma of aromas, ranging from currant to jam, from blackberry to tar with hints of tobacco and licorice.
In the mouth it has a very soft connection, a great volume and a body with a dense and enveloping tannic structure and a long and silky final.
